Programming mobile handheld devices

Introduction
Mobile handheld devices have come a long way the last couple of years when it comes to the ease of programming these devices to their capabilities. However these devices have less processing power and storage capacity than large desktop computers. This dictates some constraints what can be accomplished on such devices. Developing for mobile devices also opens a lot of new possibilities for new and exciting applications since the devices and applications will be used in a mobile fashion. In this text the problematic issues and possibilities for new applications encountered when programming for handheld mobile devices will be discussed.
